Important Appointment for Palmerstonian
MR C. S. PLANK GOES TO AMERICA Received Tuesday, 12.50 a.m. LONDON, May 16. The Commonwealth Fund Fellowship lias appointed the New Zealander Mr. C. S. Plank, of Palmerston North, to the American Telephone and Telegraph Company. Mr. C. S. Plank, who is district telegraph engineer in Palmerston North, is fhe youngest official in New Zealand to hold that responsibe position. He has had a brilliant career in* his profession and it was anticipated that ’ e would be going abroa-d in the near future to further his studies. Mr. Plank has recently recovered from serious injuries received in a motor-car collision near Rangiotu.
