ELDERLY WOMAN PRISONER’S STORY Received Friday, 7 p.m. WASHINGTON, May 5. A sensation has been caused by an elderly woman’s murder story. Mrs. Eleanor Smith, aged 73, at present in prison, broke down after ten years and declared that her son, Decasto Earl Mayer, aged 42, who is also in prison, killed a young naval lieutenant, James Bassett, in 3928, and also killed two other men and one woman, all of whom disappeared after they were seen with Mayer.
