Under the auspices of the New Zealand Metropolitan Trotting Club the third day of the intcr-Dominion championship meeting was held in fine weather before a good attendance for an off day. The track was holding early but improved. The totalisator handled £32,929 10s, giving a total for the three days of £136,035. Championship points stand as follow: Parisienne 23, Supertax 18, Lucky Jack* 17, Plutus BJ, U Scott Bs, Blair Athol, King’s Warrior 6, Pot Luck, Nervie’s Last 5, Evicus 3J, Joy’s John 2i, King’s Play 2, Lady Childewood, Double Great, Cloudy Range 1. Passing the stands Bonny Azure led from Blair Athol, Village Guy, Worthy Light and Lady Childewood. The leaders were tho same beginning the last lap, and with four furlongs to cover the order was Bonny Azure, Lady Childewood, Blair Athol, King’s Warrior, Big Author and Parisienne. The last named commenced a fast run entering the straight and stayed on to beat King’s Warrior by a length, with Blair Athol threo lengths away. Lady Childewood was.fourth. Along the back Lucky Jack made a last run to lead into the straight from Nervie's Last, Plutus and Cloudy Range.
