Pahiatua’s Town Clock

At tho Borough Council meeting on Monday night Cr. Watts suggested that if a personal appeal to all country and town residents was made £SOO would very soon be contributed. The Mayor thought the correct thing would be to get any committee that mas exist to meet and determine a plan of how to get the money, deal with the site question and select a clock. The site, stated the Mayor, was an important thing. He considered that the boat place was between the squares opposite the W.F.C.A.

Cr. Sturton urged action on the question and moved that the committee be called together to deal with the question.

Cr. Watts seconded the motion, which was put to the meeting and was carried.
