Boycott of Dominion Goods
NO OFFICIAL DESIRE IN BRITAIN

Refutation of any widespread official desire in Britain to boycott New Zealand goods because of foe protection afforded local manufacturers was made by the British Hgh Commissioner in Australia, Sir Geoffrey Whiskard, who arrived by the Awatea accompanied by his daughter. Miss Mary Whiskard. “Any move by sectional and probably representative interests to boycott New Zealand goods because of the protection afforded by the New Zealand Government to the Dominion’s own industries would be met at Home with the sharpest condemnation, not only by the Government and industry but by public opinion.
