HOPES FOR 350 MILES AN HOUR (British Official Wireless.) Received Wednesday, 7.5 p.m. RUGBY, April 5. . A sensation has been caused by the revolutionary design of the new highspeed car in which John Cobb, the famous British racing motorist, will attempt to break Captain Eyston’s world laud speed record of 312 miles an hour at Utah in August. The car has two supercharged engines developing together about 300 horsepower. The drive of the engine is to all four wheels, and a streamlined body encloses the entire car. A speed of 350 miles an hour is hoped for.
