Leyin Stock Sale SHEEP MARKET DULL. The weekly stock sale was conducted at the Levin yards on Tuesday before a good attendance of buyers. Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., advise that they offered fair yardings of pigs and cattle, but the entry of sheep was a small one and the quality generally was poor. Porkers sold at late rates, While the offering of cattle was disposed •of at prices showing an easing tendency. The sheep market was not strong and realisations were distinctly lower than at previous sales. A line of fat lambs on behalf of Mr. A. E. Cottle brought 24s 3d, but they were of good quality. Fat wethers were sought after, the top price of 26s 3d being realised on a pen of twelve, the vendor being Mr. H. Honore. The price range was as under:— Pigs : Light porkers, 255, 28s, 295, ‘34s 6d; medium do., 375, 38s 6d, 39s 6d, £2 4s; heavy do.,' £2 6s, £2 Bs, £2 10s, £2 15s; baconers, £2 17s, £2 18s, £2 19s, £3 4s; choppers, £2 ss, £2 6s, £2 18s, £3, £3 12s 6d sows and litters, £3 2s 6d, £3 8s 6d, £4 17s 6d weaners, ss, 7s, 8s 6d, 10s 6d, 11s; slips, 12s, 14s, 15s; 6tores, 17s, 18s, 19s 6d, 245.
