Telling Road-users Their Faults
NEW JOB FOR POLICE (British Official Wireless.) Received Sunday, 9.20 p.m. RUGBY, April 2. An interesting experiment was launched yesterday under which 800 trained mobile police officers are engaged in an effort to deal with breaches of the highway code, not by way ox police courts, but by giving advice and warning, and where warranted by police admonition. Officers repevt that motorists, when pulled up yesterday and told their mistakes and faults, showed no resentment. The experiment aims at the closest co-operation between road-users and the police for thtf public safety.
