CHAMPIONSHIP TO F. SOLER On Saturday on the Kimbolton rifle range the Kiwitea Handiea£J Rifle Association held their annual meeting. There was a good attendance of riflemen from surrounding clubs as far away as Hautere and Waipukurau. The day was good for shooting and numerous possibles were secured. Secretary D. Banks, junr., with assistant, Mr. D. Banks, senr., had the results posteu early, everything running smoothly. Mr. A. Stackhouse, the president of the association, in presenting the prizes, congratulated them aud thanked the riflemen for coming to the meeting in such numbers. It was pleasing to the officials, showing that their efforts to run the meeting was appreciated. 11c said that this was to be his last meeting as president of the association as he intended leaving the district. Hi* wished them all the best of luck in the future. Mr. F. Soler, on receiving the championship . belt, said liow.sorry they were to hear of Mr. Stackhouse’s decision not to accept the presidency again and hoped that he would re-con-sider his intentions. Mr. Stackhouse, replying, said he would, if still handy to the district, think the matter over. The results were us follows: Rangiwaliia Match (300 yards, 7 shots, 2 optional sighters.)
