The Pahiatua town flagpole has been repainted and new guy wires have replaced the old ones. A new seat has been built at the base of the .pole for the convenience of the weary. The Main Highways Board workmen are on the last piece of road forming at the northern end of the town. The road so far finished is a credit to the board, for it is very even and well graded. Many residents and business men are having their homes and shops painted at the present time. Painters are kept very busy and are working long hours to do as much as possible before the fine weather breaks.
