Warm and Hazy Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night. An intense anti-cyclone is now centred north of Chatham Island, and pressure is falling slightly over the Dominion. Winds: Light to moderate north-east to northerly, freshening somewhat about aud south of Cook Strait. J Seas (New Zealand waters): Slight to moderate generally, but with consider- ' able swell on the west coast of the youth Island; later seas rising somewhat about Cook and Foveaux Straits. ! Eastern Tasman Sea: Moderate to strong northerly winds; rather rough to rough seas. Weather: Mainly cloudy to overcast, warm and hazy; some rain probable on the west coast of the South Island and in scattered places elsewhere. YESTERDAY’S WEATHER Auckland: Overcast, light wind. Hamilton: Fine, cloudy, light wind. New Plymouth: Fine, cloudy, light wind. Gisborne: Fine, cloudy, calm. Napier: Some cloud, light wind. Palmerston North: Cloudy, light wind.
