Sir Truby King

TRIBUTES IN ENGLAND Dr. R. C. Jewesbury, Hon. Medical Director, the Mothercraft Training Society, Highgate, writes:— May I be permitted to add a lew words of appreciation of the great services rendered by Truby King in the cause of child welfare, not only in New Zealand but throughout many parts of the world. Lady Galway, in Mr letter to The Times, has rightly referred to the methods he advocated as being founded on the laws of Nature and common sense. Like all great pioneers he had many opponents in his own profession, but the fact that his teaching has now become so widely ai pted is sufficient proof that his labours have not been in vain. Himself a man of tireless energy and enthusiasm, with no thought of any personal gain, Truby King’s name will go down to posterity as one of the great philanthropists of modern times.
