Showroom on Wheels
DISPLAYING OF COMMERCIAL SAMPLES An interesting innovation in the disaying of commercial samples is at •esent in Palmerston North. It com■ises a showroom o ■wheels, elaborateflitted up in a 50-foot railway wagon, hich moves from town to town when quired. Designed for the displaying : builders' samples, it contains an atactive range of the material handled r the firm, ranging from door fittings a bath. The latter is fitted up in tiled bathroom at one end, complete ith every possible requirement for
such a room. A tiled fireplace is another exhibit in the van, while among the other material are locks and door fittings (in which the tendency towards the use of chromium finish is well in evidence), walnut and rimu veneered flush doors, glass bricks (which are being used to an increasing extent for lighting wells, etc), wall boards and lustre .stuscs plaster finishes. The whole display is fitted up most attractively, specially lighting devices being used to aid the effect, while the floors and walls are attractively covered with material that the firm handles. Local builders and others who have seen the van speak in very appreciative terms of the enterprise of the C. and A. Odlin Timber and Hardware Co., Ltd., in providing such a showroom.
