Infant Falls From Moving Train
REMARKABLE ESC.' PE FROM SERIOUS INJURY Per Press Association AUCKLAND, Last Night. A remarkable escape was experienced by a two-year-old child, Barry Humphries, son of Mrs. Humphries, of Mt. Eden, when he fell from the window of the Opua express near Kaiwaka. The child as travelling with his mother and fell from the train on a down-hill stretch of line. Another passenger promply applied tho emergency brake and the train backed to the scene of tbe acident. The boy was found lying by the side of the line and did not appear to be seriously injured. At Pararoa the child was attended by u doctor and was admitted to the hospital. He is suffering from head injuries and will be kept in hospital for observation.
