From Our Own CorresDonflent. On Saturday the Aokautsre tennis team played a return match with the local club. The results were as follows, Aokautere players being; mentioned first:— Women’s singles: Miss E. Anderson lost to Miss Davey, Miss M. Anderson beat Miss Ransom, Miss I. Anderson lost to Miss J. Newman, Miss J. Brill lost to Miss I. Eglinton. Miss E. Petersen lost to Mrs R. Mitchell, Miss L. Davey lost to Miss N. Lewis. Women’s doubles: Misses E. and M. Anderson beat Misses Davey and Ransom; Misses I. Anderson and J. Brill lost to Misses Newman and Eglinton; Misses Peterson and L. Davey lost to Mrs Mitchell and Miss Lewis.

Men’s singles: J. Wuodley lost, to I. Davey, W. Anderson lost to L. Clark. A. Hopcroft lost to W.» Harrigon, T* SPE-

The match was won by Kairanga with a fair margin of sets. For the first time in a considerable number of years, the Kairanga school entered a team for tho country schools cup, the competition for which was held at Feilding- on Saturday. That they were placed second equal, shows credit on tho Twadmaster, who supervised their training,
