From Our Own C-orrespondgnt. Horticultural Society's Autumn Show. Preparations for the District Show today are complete, and though the prolonged dry spell has given a check to later growth, splendid conditions earlier in the season pave plants generally a good start, and exhibits should be well up to standard. As the dale for the show was postponed for a fortnight, farm produce exhibits should be more advanced than usual, as should be the case also with garden vegetables. while the flower gardens of the district appear to be still ga.v w’ith blooms. Luncheon and afternoon tea arrangements are in the capable hands of Mesdames Bower and Fieldbouse. w’ith a large staff of assistants, and arrangement:? are altogether complete for a successful show.
