Bold Action Dramas Never Lose Appeal
"DRIFT FENCE” BASED ON VIRILE ZANE GREY STORY
(Kosy: Now Screening.)
Kiim cycles may come and go, but the good old-fashioned “shoot-’em-up” action dramas never lose their appeal, according to Otho Lovering, who directed “Drilt Fence,” the new Paramount picture, based on a Zane Grey story.
1 ’Authorities will surely agree with me,” says Lovering, “that Zane Grey’s stories of the outdoors are the most popular to reach the screen. Though children lovo his tingling action stories, adults find their appeal just as great. American especially, to whom the frontier days of desperadoes have significance, thrill to his yarns of the West with their romance, danger, and action.”
“Drift Fence” describes the struggle between cattle rustlers and a Texas Ranger. The point at issue is the erection of a fence to enclose cattle. Leading roles are acted by Larry “Buster - Crabbe, Katherine DeMille, Tom Keene, Bonny Baker, Glcm Erikson, and Stanley' Andrews.
