FOOTBALL TOUR OF U.S.A,

AMBITIOUS PLANS A tour of U.S.A. by Australian Rules footballers, maybe, three years hence. That is a project germinating in the fertile brain of ‘ bill" Mcivecmue, man behind the many progressive schemes that have kept St. Kilda (Victoria) football club well and truly in the limelight lately says the Pweferee. Further than that ....

St. Kilda this year visit Western Australia. A little jaunt that will cost the club £I2OO. Then, New Zealand in 1939 or 1940.

It is proposed to tour the Dominion with the two teams —St. Kilda and South Melbourne.

A most amoitious project, the American trip, but Bill" iVicKechnie believes that Americans, who are “football mad” at the moment, would be greatly interested in the Australian games, and that the tour would be profitable.
