Premises Raided

BOOKMAKING ALLEGED As a result of a police raid on the premises at 25 Rangitane street, Palmerston North, on Saturday afternoon, two men subsequently appeared in Court before Major J. T. Bosworth, J.P., and were remanded until this morning. Hughie James Trask, labourer, 34 years of age, is charged with keeping the premises as a common gaming house, while Stanley Ernest Thompson, greengrocer, aged 34, is charged with using the premises as a common gaming house. Trask was admitted to bail in the sum* of £IOO and Thompson in the sum of £SO.
