Golf From Hokowhitu

9-UP WINS FOUR-BALL BOGEY The competition at Hokowhitu during the week-end was a four-ball bogey handicap and the best card was that of A. J. M. Goodwin and John Graham, who finished 9-up on “The Colonel. 7 * The course was in splendid order and the weather was rather warm despite a light breeze. The leading cards were as under: A. J. M. Goodwin and John Graham, 9-up; O. H. Williams and E. R. Wimsett, 7-upj W r . Knights and M. D. Loftus, 6-up; T. Burden and L. F. Speechley, 6-up; J. C. Neill and M. N. Doig, 5-up; L. A. Ferguson and Lewis, 5-up; N. A. Nash and L. Cooper, 4-up. Then he slipped a couple of strokes and was out in 33. On the home green a longish mitt for the 69 rimmed the hole and Wayed out.

During the week-end he was hitting the ball very sweetly and he was round in 72 despite one out of bounds at Riverside.
