It might have been feelings of real regret at an enjoyable week having drawn to a close that actuated p variedly clad party of bandsmen to play in tones of ineffable “sweetness” the Hawaiian farewell song in a milk bar in Broadway at 11.30 o’clock last Dight. At any rate they seemed to be enjoying their little escapade which was a fitting prologue to an evening’s fun, which the citizens of Palmerston Nortn accepted to the full. Clad in * ‘ wonder fully resplendent” raiment, a large party of “happy” bandsmen kept Friday night shoppers fully amused and made a “colourful” addition to .the streets of the city-
