Notes of the Day
Four members from the Central Croquet Club, Feilding, spent an enjoyable afternoon on the Oroua Club's lawn on Thursday. Friendly games were indulged in, the following being the scores, Central players being mentioned first: Mesdames Flavall and Ellery 26 v. Mesdames Mitchell and Spence 22; Mesdames Fuller and Knight 26 v. Mesdames Kerr and Pearce 20. Totals: Central 52, Oroua 42.
St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, Feilding, is to be favoured by a visit on Sunday of Rev. C. F. Bradley, who is on a health recruiting trip from Sydney, where he has held an important charge. He will occupy the pulpit at both services, and it is anticipated that he will receive a warm welcome from large congregations. At tho recent Wellington wool sale the clip of Mr. C. Murray Richardson, of Cunninghams, classed by Air. M. Bethune, of Feilding, realised the following prices: A hoggets, 10fd; A ewes, lid; B ewes, 12£d; C ewes, 13d; and first pieces, S^d.
