Stroug Winds P®r Press Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night. The anti-cyclone is passing away eastwards, and an extensive depression covers the Tasman, the pressure being very low from Tasmania to southern New Zealand. Winds: North-easterly in the far north, elsewhere northerly to northwesterly and later backing in places to westerlies, force moderate to stong generally and rising to gale at times in places about and south of Cook strait. Seas (New Zealand waters): Rough south of Cape Egmont and about Cook and Foveaux Straits, elsewhere slight to moderate. Eastern Tasman: Strong winds from between north and west, reaching gale force in places; seas becoming rather rough to rough in the northern portion and rough in the central and southern. Weather: Mainly fair to cloudy at first in eastern districts north from Canterbury, but othewise unsettled, ’with rain at times in most districts' and some heavy falls in those with a westerly aspect. Temperatures: Warm. YESTERDAY’S WEATHER Auckland: Cloudy, light breeze. Hamilton: Overcast, calm. New Plymouth: Overcast, light wind. Gisborne: Some cloud, light wind. Napier: Little cloud, light wind. Palmerston North: Overcast, light wind. Masterton: Cloudy, fight wind. Wellington: Overcast, light wind. Blenheim: Overcast, light wind. Nelson: Some cloud, fight breeze. West Coast: Overcast, moderate wind. Christchurch: Overcast, strong wind. Timaru: Overcast, light breeze. Dunedin: Overcast, calm. Invercargill: Overcast, strong wind.
