Alfredton Ewe Fair
Messrs Levin and Co. Ltd., held their third annual ewe fair at Alfredton on Saturday the 19th instant in Mrs A. M. Rutherfurd’s yards (kindly lent by her for the occasion) when a good yarding of station bred ewes was offered. Buyers from the Wairarapa, Manawatu and Taranaki districts were present and competition was keen throught the sale. The sheep came forward in good order, the yarding being a eredit to the Alfredton district. The following prices were realised:— 2-tooth ewes: A/c Napier Bros., 32s 4d, R. N.
