Uenuku’s performance in going from first to last three furlongs from home and coming again with a brilliant and well-sustained run to win the Richmond Handicap was tbe best three-ycar-old display ever witnessed at Epsom, and another three-year-old, Hillcrest, beat a big field of maidens in the Howick Handicap by sheer courage. Both youngsters shoulc. go a long way in the game. The two-year-olds staged an excellent contest, Contender being the best, with his stable-mate, Davey Day, next. Auto Bingen also gave an impressive display. After training at Epsom for 25 years, Mr. C. G. Lee is removing to Cambridge with a team of ten horses. 110 was tendered a farewell yesterday by a number of owners and trainers when, on their behalf, Air. C. E. Craig, secretary of the Owners and Trainers’ Association, presented Mr. Lee with a chiming clock and Mrs. Lee with a valuable silver tea service.
