Visiting Builders Entertained
TOUR OF THE DISTRICT The Master Builders* Conference concluded in Palmerston North yesterday, and last evening there was a most enjoyable social and dance. Old-time dances were the order of the evening and these were interspersed with several songs by Mr. C. W. Sheriff, which were the highlight of the function. Diverting entertainment was also provided by Mr. W. Allen with his eccentric tap dancing. Mr. W. Bo.lell was M.C. and the hostesses Mesdames E. Anderson, A. E. Allen and H. E. Townshend.
To-day the visiting delegates will make a tour of the district as the guests of the Manawatu Master Builders’ Association. They will leave the city at 9 o ’clock this morning and visit the Awapuni racecourse and then tho Milson aerodrome. Morning tea will te served at C. M. Ross’ tea-rooms before proceeding to Massey College via tlu Esplanade. The party will motor through the Manawatu Gorge to lunch in the Wcodville Domain. The remainder of the route will lie through Feeding, where afternoon tea will be served at Kowhai Park, and then back to Palmerston North via Mount Stewart.
