PAHIATUA ELECTORATE GOOD PROGRESS REPORTED A representative and most enthusiastic meeting of the Pahiatua Electorate Committee was held in Woodville on Monday evening last. Mr. H. P. Horne (chairman) presided and delegates were present from Tak&pau, Norsewood, Dannevirke, Pahiatua, Woodville and Kumeroa. Delegates from the women's and junior branches of Pahiatua, Dannevirke and Woodville were also present. Arrangements were made for Mr. O. C. Mazengarb, of Wellington, to address public meetings at Dannevirke and Pahiatua on the 22nd and 23rd inst. Sir Alfred Ransom is visiting the country districts and assisting with the formation of new branches at Porangahau and Ti Tree Point. Mr. N. Webley, Mrs. j. Livingstone (Dannevirke) and Mrs. C. Walker (Pahiatua) were appointed delegates to the divisional conference in Wellington on the 22nd inst. •. Encnfuranying reports were received
from the branch committees. The junior organisations are making rapid advancement; several successful social events have been held and their programme for the future indicates much activity. At the conclusion of the meeting a resolution was carried with enthusiasm expressing the committee’s warmest appreciation of the splendid reports received from the branch committees.
