Sires used were bred by Messrs. W. F. Jacob and Son, J. E. Hewitt, H. B. Johnstone. A. L. Wheeler and the owner, and most of the ewes are descendants of Te Marama ewes. The unregistered flock is descended from the original Woodendean flock established in 1875 by the present owner’s father, the late Major Willis, with Ludlam ewes, and both flocks have been maintained at a high standard. They have been carefully culled and classed for the sale by the well-known breeder, Mr. Chas. Small. Catalogues are obtainable from the Auctioneers.
