In the match between Rangitikel an-: South Taranaki, played at Marton last Saturday, the visitors had first use of. i, good wicket and at lunch had made JSC for nine wickets. After the adjournment heavy rain began to fall and play had to be abandoned. The scores were:—»S. Batts, c Openshaw, b Whittle. 4; A. Sargeson, st. Lowry, b H. Marshall, 0; It. Lendrum, b H. Marshall, 11; J. Christie ibw., b H. Marshall, 0; W. Geary, c D. Cameron, b Lowry, 54; J. Meull, b K. Hodder, IS; A. Bernard, c Cameron, b Lowry, 22; It. Kara, not out, 4; P. Toro, not out, 0; extras 8; total for 9 wickets, 136. Young Farmers’ Judging.
The results of the competition judging of three unregistered dairy cows by members of the Young Farmers’ Clubs, held at the recent Marton A. and P. Show, have now come to hand from the judge, Mr C. G. Dernier, of Feilding. There were 28 entrants, and the placings were: H. Viles (Apiti) 1, C. Anderson (Bulls) 2, It. Buchanan (Kalranga) and E. Anderson (Bulls) equal 3.
