Mrs.. E. J. Watson and Miss L. Watson, Palmerston North, are visiting Wellington. Mr. and Mrs. John Reynolds, Palmerston Jtforth, left yesterday on a twoweek’s visit to Nelson. Mrs F. Walkley, Palmerston North, is the guost of her sister, Mrs C. Lund, Timaru. Visiting Mr and Mrs F. S. Mcßae, of Napier road, Palmerston North, are Mrs Arthur Rhind and Miss Zoe Rhind, of Christchurch. Mrs E. L. Christian, city librarian, left yestorday for Nelson where she will attend the annual conference of the National Libraries’ Association which op bus to-day. Miss A, Ellery of the millinery staff of Messrs C. M. Ross Company Limited left on Saturday by the Wanganella for Australia where she will spend some [months furthering her experience in millinery. Mrs. W. J. Poison, of Stratford, who will be attending the National Party garden party at Mr. Levett’s home in Feilding to-day, will, during her stay in the district, be the guest of Mrs. J. Williamson, “Greenfields,” Taonui. Miss' Kathleen Courtney, who is tho secretary of the Women’s International Peace and Disarmament Committee of Geneva, arrived in Auckland on Saturday. At the invitation of the Y.M.C.A. of New Zealand she is coming to this country as a peace ambassador, where she will give lectures and take study groups in the four largest and ten smaller centres throughout the Dominion Among visitors to the Eweu—McCaw wedding at Havelock North this evening will be the bridegroom’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lance Ewen, of “Linwood,” ITeilding, his sisters, Misses Allison (Wellington), Elaine and Dawn, brothers Lloyd and Cameron, Miss Line a Hansen (Colyton), Messrs. Ron Fletcher (Wellington) and R. O. Gardner ( Auckland), all of whom are motoring through from Feilding and will be guests at tho Grand Hotel, Hastings.
