Remarkable Escape From Death

ALL BLACK IN CAP- ACCIDENT Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, Last Night. A fortunate escape from the worst consequences of a motor-car accidem was experienced by Messrs. N. A. Mitchell, the All Black, and J. Souness, of Dunedin, while motoring near Roxburgh on Saturday afternoon. It is believed a punctured tyre caused the car, which was driven by Mr. Souness, to plunge over bank into the Molyneaux river. The car landed upright in about twelve feet of water and the occupants, who were unhurt, climbed out through the open roof. The car was still in the river to-day and will be difficult to salvage.
