Russell Street School
At the Russell Street School ball on Thursday evening, Mrs. W. Coman efficiently carried out the duties of hostess. Her gown was of black windswept crepe. The ladies’ committee was as follows:—Mesdames Coman, A. Hayens, who wore floral crepe de chene, and a black bridge coat; Coppell, black lace; M. N. Uoig, black ring velvet with lame trimmings; D. *Rabone, blue Trench silk with shoulder C. Trask, black taffeta with diamante trimmings; F. Furneaux, rust red velvet with ermine trimmings; I. Wright, figured marocain; W. H. de Luen, black lace and fur coat; J. It. Robinson, rust windswept crepe; V. Hodgson (secretary), black lace and black bridge coat; and the chairwoman, Miss E. Piercey, floral georgette and pink spray. Additional members of the teaching staff assisting in various capacities were Misses E. Currie, blue marocain and. black velvet bridge coat; Feist, floral ninon; E. Sinclair, not brown silk taffeta, with cherry velvet trimmings. The men’s committee was as follows:—Messrs. Grant, l)oig, C. 8. Trask, I It. Bobinson, G. W. Coppell (secretary), M. J. McArtney, D. McDowell and F. W. Coombs.
