A Wedding of Interest To Makino Residents

WRIGHT—FRASER A very pretty evening wedding was solemnised on October 6 at St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church, Feilding, by the Rev. A* L. Dixon, when Natalie Nancy Temterdem, elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D. G. Fraser, of Kimboltoc road, was martied to Douglas McGregor, younger son of Mr. and the late Mrs. G. E. Wright, of Kaiapoi. The bride, who had been escorted to the church by the Feilding Caledonian Pipe Baud, entered the church attended by her father. She' made a charming picture in a gown of augelskin lace over Batin beaute, cut on siimur ng lines, and flaring from the kne-is to form a long, rounded train. A tiny frill of stiffen ea net, edged with silver, outlined the train, a similar frill forming an Elizabethan collar at the neckline. Her plain tulle veil fell from a coronet of orange blossom and pearls. A shower bouquet of lilies and spring flowers completed a very attractive toilette. The bride’s attendants were Miss Joyce Fraser (chief), sister of the bride, and Miss June Withers, of Wellington. Both were gowned in very sweet frocks of peach-pink georgette over taffeta, cut on simple lines and trimmed with silver to match their shoes. Dainty bandeaux of tiny pink flowers were worn in their hair, and they carried bouquets of deep pink tulips and maidenhair fern. Little Ruth Whitehead made a very delightful flowergirl. Her frock was fashioned on the lines of those of the bridesmaids, and she carried a tiny posy of stocks and silver leaves. The bridegroom was attended by Mr. J. Armitage, of Christchurch, and Dr. D. McFarland, of Aorangi. Upon leaving the church the bride was presented with a lucky horse-shoe by little Vaimai Simpson. The members of the Pipe Band-then formed a guard of honour, and escorted the bridal car from tho church to the Beresford tea-rooms, where the bride’s parents received the guests. Mrs. Fraser was wearing a smart tailored brown costume and hat trimmed with pink flowers. She carried a bouquet of pansies. Mrs. T. Dawson, aunt of the bride, wore a navy ensemble, and carried a bouquet of scarlet flowers. The happy couple were the recipients of many telegrams, cheques and beautiful gifts from all over the Dominion. When the young couple left later for the north, the brido was wearing a navy frock of Hungarian cloque, a navy coat with silver fox fur collar and blue accessories to tone. Mr. and Mrs. Wright will make their future home in Christchurch.
