Addrcsing the English-speaking Union at Manchester, the Marquess of Willingdon said he thought AngloAmerican relations at present were more real than for many years. “We have a common end to serve—peace throughout the civilised world and determination to uphold the sanctity of treaties and rules of international law, for without them our civilisation would be in the direst, gravest danger,'* he said.
