Women’s Institute

MANGAMUTU MEETING Tho monthly meeting of the Manga mutu Women’s Institute was held on July 14 in tho Mangamutu hall, Mrs. Macdonald presiding. During tho business of the meeting Mrs. Macdonald thanked all those who had helped with the fifth birthday party on July 2. It was decided to hold a gentlemen’s evening in August. Tho roll call for tho afternoon was “ Something I should like and have not in the garden.” The competition for the best sugar bag cushion cover was won by Miss Isakson. Misses Grant and O’Hara acted as judges. A telegram competition was won by Mrs. Stokes. After afternoon tea had been served by tho hostesses, Mrs. McClenaghan and Miss Isakson, tho remainder ot the afternoon was spent in dancing and community singing. A most enjoyable afternoon was brought to a close with the singing of the National Anthem.
