More State Houses
Per Press Association. TE AKOUA, July 16. Advice has been received by Mr. JL ooulter, M.P. for Waikato, that the Housing Department has been instructed to confer with the Lands Depart ment to decide on suitable areas of land for housing in Cambridge and Morrinsvillc. it is anticipated that tho first of the Government houses will be erected in the near future. PROPOSALS FOR MARTON. MAKTON, July IG. The Hon. J. A. Lee, accompanied by Mr. A. Tyndall, Director of the Housing Construction Branch, and Mr. F. G. J. Temm, private secretary, visited Marton this morning and inspected sections offered for purchase under the housing scheme. The Minister stated that before long tenders would be called lor ten to twelve houses in Marton. He was agreeably' surprised at the low rates.
