Two Deaths From Paralysis
Outbreak in Victoria SCHOOLS IN AFFECTED AREA CLOSED United Press Association—Bv Electric Telesraph. —Co pyrlgrh t. Received Friday, 11 p.m, MELBOURNE, July 16. It is now revealed that two deaths from infantile paralysis have occurred in Melbourne—one ou Thursday and one a fortnight ago, when the outbreak was first reported. Ormond State School, where the paralysis originated, and other schools in the affected area have -low been closed. Three more respirators have been ordered urgently for the children’s Hospital to cope with possible requirements. Although it was thought that the outbreak was under control, another mild case was reported to-day in the same area.
