Two Men Committed for Trial

BAIL NOT SOUGHT IN LOWER COURT A plea of not guilty was entered by Frederick Bowles, labourer, aged 62 after evidence had been heard whei two charges of indecent assault wen preferred against him in the Magis trate’s Court at Palmerston Nortl yesterday. Bowles was committed foi trial at the Supremo Court session ii Palmerston North next week. Charles Frederick Neil Johnson labourer, 39 years of age, of Palmerstoi North, pleaded not guilty to a serioui charge and was committed for tria next week. Mr. J. M. Gordon appeared for accused and, Detective-Sergeant A B. Meiklcjohn conducted tho case fo: the police. Neither man asked for bail. Thi cases were heard before Justices of tii' Peace.
