CROONERS NOT WANTED
Crooner suHerers the world over will take heart from tho news that a ma jority of young persons here would like to give all crooners the air—any air, that is, but the radio air. This was shown when the British Broadcasting Corporation invited 200 representatives of Scottish youth, boys and girls between lite ages of 14 and 19, to Scottish Broadcasting House to hear what they thought of ScottisL radio. Of the voters 5C per cent disliked cionners, 53 per cent liked them and oaly 14 per cent had no interest at all. Ordinarily non-voealised dance music was welcomed on the other hand by 7( per cent and spurned by only 14 per cert Serious orchestral music was, bow ever, the most unpopular item, 54 per CKKKSC
