In a professional boxiug contest to night Jackie Sharpe (Australia) scored a technical knockout victory over Harry Dunn (Wellington) in t’ae fifth round. The Australian was too experienced and gradually wore bis opponent down to do as he liked with him. Both scaled Ost. Sib. A second professional contest between Doug. Eddington (Timaru) 9.12, and Ken Smith (Wellington) 9.11, went the full 10 rounds. Eddiugtou, who was the cleverer boxer, receiving *the verdict. He made good use of the left to the head and body.
