Gladys Cooper Married in Chicago
Gladys Cooper was married in Chicago recently to Phillip Merivale, the actor, with whom she is appearing there in a play, “Close Quarters.” Here is how sho announced the news in a cable to her son and daughter, John and Joan Buckmaster, in England: “Just been married; tell family.— Dearest love to you both.—Mummy.” Sir Neville Pearson’s divorce decree against Miss Cooper was made absolute by Mr Justice Bucknill the previous Monday.
