The Rugby Game
HOROWHENUA TO PLAY BUSH FOR BEEINGTON SHIELD Mr. E. J. Smith has selected the following team to represent tho Bush Rugby Union against Horowhenua at Pahiatua on Saturday in the second Bebington Shield game of the season:— Full-back: J. Smith. Three-quarters: W. Twentyman, Rid doll, S. Wolland. Five-eighths: Stringfellow, McSherry. Half: E. Lett. Forwards: Bailey, Spring, Cameron, Failover, Ycrry, Harvey, Aitken, D. Luke. Reserves: Williams, McNeil (backs); Woddell, Upston, Matthews (forwards) Last year the Horowhenua challeng ers were defeated by a substantial margin, but reports from the other side in dicate that they will be a much tougher proposition and Bush will require to play their best to retain the trophy. H. Wolland's retirement sees Twentyman in his old position on the wing, and Luke, the Hamua forward, has been substituted for Matthews. The game will start at 2.30 and there will be no curtain-raiser. The following team will represent Mangatainoka v. Marima thirds, at Marima on Saturday: —Bicknell, Tait, McDougall (2), Kerrison, Gunn, Anstes, Seales, Howell, Swanney, Dick and Stone. The team will assemble at Mangatainoka storo at 12.45 p.m. Saturday’s Fixtures. Tho following are the fixtures and

Skilton). Juniors. Eketahuna Old Boys v. Marima, at Eketahuna (referee, Mr. W. Ryan); Mokuri v. Hukanui, at Mangatainoka (ref : eree, Mr. J. Fulton); Ngaturi v. Pahia tua, at Ngaturi (referee, Mr. W. Lawry).
