The Cotton Spinners’ Association at Osaka decided to permit member companies to divert idle spindles, sealed ued*»r an agreement curtailing output, to the production of staple fibre yarn, which has hitherto been prohibited. Such spindles are estimated ai 3,000,000 and indications are that half of these will be diverted. In tho mean time eight of the leading trading firms have organised to form a Staple Fibre i>ea ler>’ Association.
