Squally, Wet and Very Cold Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night. The cyclonic depression referred to in recent reports covers the whole of the New Zealand area to-day with the lowest pressure extending from Norfolk Island to beyond East Cape. Tho pressure is, however, rising and an intense anti-cyclone now covers Australia, the centre being over Tasmania. Winds: .Moderate to strong southerly to south-easterly of gale force in many places. {Seas (New Zealand, waters): Rough to high between East Capo and Banks Peniusula and in the Cook {Strait area; elsewhere rather rough to rough. Eastern Tasman Hear Strong sostberly to south-easterly winds to gales with rough to high seas. Weather; Still unsettled and squally with further rain in most districts, heavy falls and some Hooding being likely in parts of the North Island. Temperatures very cold with snow on the ranges and also at scattered places in lower levels; improving on the West Coast of tho South Island.
