ACCLIMATISATION SOCIETY MEETING. Mr. E. G. Matthews presided at a meeting of the Palmerston North branch of the Wellington Acclimatisation Society last evening. The parent body asked for recommendations in respect of the forthcoming fishing season regulations.—No reeornmcndatfbns were forthcoming, it being thought tlio regulations for the past season were quite satisfactory. The minutes of the Wellington Council recorded the ratification of the arnelganiation of the Feilding and Districts Acclimatisation Society with tho Wcl lington Society.
