Finds in Wool Bales

WOMAN’S ARTIFICIAL LEG LONDON, May 26. 3l&ny queer things have been found m bales of wool which come from Australia, New Zealand and other parts of the world to Bradford. On one occasion, men unpacking a consignment came ucross a suit of clothes. This was followed by tho diseo\ery of a notebook, so the men refused to go on with the work because they were afraid of finding a man’s lody further down tho bale. A Bradford wool buyer tells the story of how an artificial leg was found in a bale. The man who made the discovery wrote to the grower informing him of it. A letter of thanks was received in return saying that the grower’s wife had lost her artificial ieg and had been wondering where it was. Among other curious things found in bales have been sheep heads and legs, dea l rabbits, bricks, stones, blocks of p> <l, sand, tomato tins, hens, saddles.
