From Our Own Correspondent. Organised by the hall committee, the fortnightly euchre party was held on Wednesday evening. There was a record attendance, indicating tho popularity of these evenings. Much enthusiasrix was displayed among the players, resulting in Mrs W. E. Baker and Mr C. Vincent gaining the first prizes. Mrs W. E. Hills and Mr L. Rink were awarded the sealed prizes, which were donated by Mrs W. D. R. Baker axxd Mr H. E. Thurston. Local players provided the music for dancing, which continued until midnight. Mrs Mephan was the winner of the competition prize, donated by Mrs P. Malone. Personal. Friends of Mrs T. Shalders. who Is an inmate of a private Hospital in Palmerston North, will be pleased to learn that she is progressing favourably. Mrs J. N. Cumings has returned home after spending Coronation week in Auckland. Miss Alison Redwood and Mr lan Nairn, who have been staying with the latter’s parents, have returned to their respective homes in Wellington. Mr Roy Paterson and Mr Hugh Nairn have returned from a holiday spent in Napier. Mrs J. Anier is home, after spending a fortnight with her two daughters in the Taranaki district.
