Education Board Tribute
LATE MB. H. O. NELSON From Our Own Correspondent. NAPLES, May 22. As a mark of respect, the Hawke's Bay Education Board this morning itood in silence following the announcement by the chairman, Mr G. A. Maddison, of the death of Mr H. O. Neilson, a servant of the board for 21 years. A vote of sympathy with his bereaved wife and children wae passed. “It is with profound sorrow,** said Mr Maddison, “that I make known to you the death of Mr H. O. Neilson, who passed away yesterday after a service of 21 years in this office. During all that period he carried out his duties with a particular care and expediency that gave his work a hundred per cent, efficiency. His work and capabilities were never in question. “He was & man who was esteemed by all, and because of his demeanourand character he earned the respect of his co-members,** Mr Maddison added. “We condole with his wife in the severance of the greatest association that God can give anyone, and with his children in the loss of a great father. 9
