No Religious Ceremony At Duke’s Wedding
IS THERE FRICTION WITH GOVERNMENT? United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. TOURS, May 21. Mr Herman Rogers revealed that there will be no religious ceremony at the Duke of Windsor's marriage, adding that he is unable to give any reason. Asked if . the Anglican clergyman had refused to officiate, Mr Rogers replied: “I thing that is very unlikely." Pressed to say if anyone had refused to conduct the ceremony, he said: “Not that I know of." He added that he could not say whether there would be a religious ceremony later. Asked whether the invitations caused friction between the Duke of Windsor and the Royal Family, Mr Rtjers replied: “I do not think there is any friction whatever." When asked: “Does that mean there is no friction with the Government?" ho replied: “I prefer not to continue this subject." CUTTY SARK NOT FOR HONEYMOON Received Sunday, Midnight. LONDON, May 22. The Duke of Westminster denies lending his yacht Cutty Sark for the Windsor honeymoon.
