PERSONALITIES

Dr. T. Z. Koo, the well-known Chinese Christian leader, and his wife arrived in Wellington from Sydney by the Awatea yesterday. Much sympathy will be felt with Mrs. F. L. Donnelly, of Palmerston North, in tho bereavement suffered by the death of her father, Mr. Win. Stewart, of Lower Hutt, following a lengthy illness. Born in County Cavan, Ireland, the late Mr. Stewart came to New Zealand in 1900 and took up farming in the Hutt district. Ho has been in retirement for some years, all his interests having been in the work of farming and gardening. He is survived by Mrs. Stewart and Mrs. Donnelly, the only son having died twelve years ago.
